Hi everyone! I'm a zebra finch breeder of many colours in Port Macquarie NSW this season I am trying a charcoal and white to see what happens. Has anyone tried this combo.

Welcome Stuart.
I've always similarly wondered how a Black-bodied and Marked White Zebra Finch combination would turn out. I guess the black-bodied would likely dirty the white of the back of the bird but the prospect of a clean white back & black front on the same bird should be an attractive outcome worth the exercise.
Maybe one of our specialist Zebra breeders may be able to shed light on whether they have done or seen this attempted??

Hello ! Welcome to the forum! As said already, there are lots of zebra breeders here.
I too am interested in black/white combinations. I wonder if the white would "mask" the black. You see, white is due to a lack of melanin. Black is the excess of melanin. Still, it probably isn't that simple. Has anyone bred a pied cockatiel which is also lutino?
Anyway, Cheers and welcome again !!
