How long do you run your water misters?

Just a few minutes should be enough to then give some evaporative cooling. Even lightly hosing down the outside roof & walls of the aviary is enough to drop the temp a few degrees. May need to do a couple of times on really hot days.

If you have large planted aviaries in my opinion, the best thing to do is stay away and do not disturb the birds. they will find the shady spots and the coolness on the ground.
If you have sprinklers put them on auto timer for a short time in the hottest part of the day.
