why are aviarys so expensive? its a bummer not been handy, my wife doesnt want another eye sore in the back yard. already have a 4.5 metre cage,.hoping to get another similar size so been looking at colourbond style as to look like style, so blends in some colour as the shed, . but WOW, more than $1000 thankyou very much. ouch. and to change this add that, $1.500 WHAT. dam.

Hi Paul, I built my first aviary with a timber frame but now have been using Ali tube and plastic joiners which is
quick and neat. You start keeping a list of what it is costing but soon throw it away and just spend what is needed.
No way is cheap and I doubt that you will get a trades man under $100 Hr.Have you tried finding one on Gum Tree ?

Paul sometimes there are good second hand ones about. facebook, petlink ? gumtree, tradingpost. The only thing with them you would most likely need a trailer.

Have you thought about converting a shed to an aviary ? there is currently a 5m x 3m shed on gumtree with slabs for $550 , the only trouble is its zinc but you could paint it...Pete

yesterday i ordered my new aviary, 4x2x2, divider to cages. should just be ready for breeding time, 4 aviarys the wife isnt impressed, well its a great hobby, i love it. goulds are in full colour, awesome
