Looks like a very good hen to me. Colour of abdomen is a bit pale for a cock.

I also sex this bird as a Hen because of the pale shade of belly yellow but, the tell tale sign of being a hen
is the lack of the sky blue head band, if this was a cock bird, the blue head band would much more pronounced.

Hard to say.i dont have many gouldians but looking at the beak it looks like a male.my males have a red tip beak and ive never seen my hens with one they always have black beaks.but then the yellow and pale green looks like a hen.

Hi myso ,to me the head is a touch smaller than a cock,on a cock bird the blue ring around the neck should be much more intense and wider, the green on the neck should be much darker a dead give away its a hen and the yellow is way to light for a cock bird, nice bird ,now i might have to eat humble pie if it is a cock
,cheers garyh

Damn, I was hoping for a few more cock birds but my feeling was they were hens due to the lack of blue around the head. So that means that the 25 birds I bred last season 17 were hens and 8 were cock birds, oh well, better than the other way around.
