Does anyone out there happen to breed any Greenfinch mutations, because I have a problem that needs an answer.
I was told that my pairings of a split Lutino cockbird x Normal hen and a Izabell cockbird x normal Hen would produce yellow coloured Hens and Normal and maybe Split Cock Birds.
Thats what the Experts reckon. Now I have DNA tested 2 Yellow coloured Birds and the Result came back as 2 Cockbirds. Now I am in a Quandary whose right and whose wrong.

Know nothing about Greenfinch mutations. But as Lutino in almost every type of bird is sex linked this does sound odd. Do your young yellows have red eyes? Or could they be something else? Does the Adult cock have red eyes? Or could he be something else? Just thinking with my fingers here. Hope someone/something can solve the question for you.

I would think that the only way to get coloured cocks from splits would be if the mutations concerned were recessive and the hens were also split.
Since the hens are normal and the lutino mutation is sexlinked I would be prepared to say the DNA is wrong (which happens more than you think).

Could you possibly post some photos of your mutations?
Would love to see photos of aussie based birds.
