I have been donated a finch by someone who could no longer keep it however she didn't know what type it was and I cant for the life of me identify it either. I was hoping someone would be able to advise me as to what it was exactly.

Orange breasteds are a very nice little bird. But be careful, they can get out of very small gaps and I note she is in a slotted wire cage not a square wire and wood/tin cage. She would be much happier with at least half of the cage covered (can see you are doing your best with a towel). Recomend a small avairy or a large breeding box. Or if you want to sell her I have a single gentleman of her type. Good luck with whatever you decide. And welcome to the Forum.
