Can anyone please tell me the breeding season in the Southern hemisphere for the following finches:
Grass finches
Star finches
Owl finches
Diamond finches
African silver bill
Cherry finches
Jacarini
Gouldian finches

Hi Andre,other than the gouldians all the others usually breed early Spring to late December and also a couple of months into Autumn here in Oz.Gouldians here breed from Feb/March which is Autumn here through to Sept/Oct which is the beginning of spring.I don't know how that correlates with your seasons. What Craig said is right. I would add that Jacarinis are fairly strictly Spring-Summer seasonal, Gouldians are Autumn- Winter- Spring seasonal & the others will breed virtually any time of year when they are not moulting & where suitable aviary conditions & diet suit them well.
