Hi,
I found an emblema dead today. Looked perfectly healthy until yesterday, when I noticed it had a dirty beak. It looked like there were seed husks stuck to it, but otherwise everything was normal.
On closer inspection today, the "dirty beak" looks far more sinister than I first thought. Can anyone tell what it is and what I should be doing about it? No other birds seem affected, thankfully.
Emblema - Can anyone determine cause of death?

Hi Shane,to me that bird looks like it is eating then vomiting/regurgitating. I have found that finches that just sit in a seed dish, especially sprouted seed/livefood and just gormandise themselves have worms, tape worms in particular. This may not be the problem with your bird but i would get a vet to do a postmortem.
