Hi My name is James and I live in the Hunter Valley NSW
I have an Aviary with house Gouldian Finches and i am having some success with breading 10 fledglings which im pretty proud of, Im afraid though that i have could the Bird bug and know planning my second outdoor Aviary. I Just after some advice. My first aviary has cement floors and im just wondering is that the best floor to prevent vermin of should i build the next one with a gravel floor. Keen for advice

Welcome to the forum. I prefer naural earth floors, but to keep them vermin proof you need deep (600/700mm) foundations.

Hi James welcome to the forum.As for floors i myself prefer sand floor with a deep ring foundation around the whole aviary. Gotta keep them nice and clean tho.
