Thanks guys. A question is a licence needed to keep Australian natives. Ie fire tail or double bars

Hi David
You do need a licence to keep some Australian species, double bars included. Here is the link to what you need. The licence isn't expensive though.

Thanks David from Camden, that's a coincidence haha. Strange I brought a pair of double bars from a bird shop but sadly lost the hen.

Pet shops and breeders are supposed to check your licence before selling to you. But a small number occassionally forget. Not recommended as this can cause problems with the authorities when the numbers do not add up. Go get a licence. Double Bars I have found do best in mini flocks of 4 or more. Oh and Welcome to the Forum.
