I am currently planning my aviary. I will probably start with pied zebras and maybe some Gouldian's. my friend has a breeding pair of pied zebras so I will probably get a few zebras from him and find some other pied zebras to put together. he also has a pair of white breasted and normal Gouldian's. he also has some more birds that I cant remember.
if there is anything that you would suggest with the aviary please let me know.

Hi Jmoll,
I immediately started keeping gouldian finches. If you can get some great breeders they are very simple to look after. They love seeds, especially green seeds.
The great thing about starting with gouldians is that there is plenty of information on the internet. A couple big things are to change water regularly - daily is recommended, they need to be kept away from strong wind and ensure some variety in diet to provide best breeding results.
Don't overstock your aviary as well because of they breed well you quickly run out of room.
Cheers and enjoy,
Brenton
