Crowd was down due to the "exotics" issue but still reasonable numbers.

The venue is good and as usual it was well run. The variety of species was limited. Painteds were very common and Gouldians out numbered everything in the venue.

Good weather and under the circumstances it was great effort by the Bendigo ASA

The best of the sale's so far, plovers and toppies were interesting,a guy had a fair few diamonds but these went within a few minutes, lot off AFF members ,best dressed had to go to Branches  , the newly named Aussie variegated blues ,old name Australian yellow blue or Strawback, were on display nothing different about the birds just the narrative on the best way to breed them, which i personally disagree with, funny thing is the person who named them Strawbacks is now pushing the new name ,probably hoping to cash in on the new name, over all not a bad sale but numbers way down ,and did i see red crested finches being sold in the normal selling area by a well known breeder, maybe Guy your on the right track as at Geelong Spice finches were sold as well from what i saw, garyh

Must have missed the Red-crested Finches. I did see a "well known" breeder selling Crimson Chats in the normal selling area

I thought Crimson Chats were Aussie finchs? Maybe it is about time we DISOBEYED the regulations.

They are Aussie Softbills
As for disobeying the law, rarely if ever that direction works.
Right now we need to be patient. Let those negotiating time to negotiate.
I know it is a pain, walking around Bendigo Sale with dollars in my wallet and nothing
that interested me. At least the conversation was enjoyable.
