I have a hen with the below features. What is she genetically, probably?

- Looks just like a Marked White, except...
- Body/back colour is a very uniform ivory/pale cream, instead of white. No grey smudging.
- Tear drops, chest mark and tail coverts are a mushroomy grey-brown.

(Too hard to get a photo right now...)

Thanks :)

Really don't think so, as her teardrops etc are not beige but a cooler taupe/mushroom - like a standard CFW. But her back colour is like a Continental CFW. Didn't think we even had those in AU, though perhaps we must? She looks like a mix of the two, but apparently that isn't possible, so, .

I've also just noticed that her belly is actually white. Only her back is a very pale smooth cream.

She's a pretty bird overall so I'm tempted to keep her (she's in my 'sell' pile right now), but I have too many keeper Zebs already.

Perhaps she is a dilte? And that is why the paler tear drops etc.

How does dilute work in Zebs? I thought it affected back colour rather than teardrops, but I could be wrong.

I have also spotted a Marked White male that has the same creamy back colour as this hen, yet still the normal black teardrops - like what I believe a CCFW should look like. Maybe it's a clue :eh: .

Zebs colonies are fascinating with all of their blended permutations, like boxes of Forrest Gump chocolates.

Right then, I guess she must be. Her similarities to my MWs must have thrown me off - plus her Cream/MW brother.

Is there a difference between 'Cream Back' and 'Cream'? ...because she looks exactly like this (except for her chest mark in the same colour): http://www.seqzfs.org/apps/photos/photo ... =146348407

...and not at all like this: http://www.seqzfs.org/apps/photos/photo ... =146348408

Thanks :)
