just a headsup for those of us out of feathers for nesting....sorry for not recommending aff merchandise.
a recent venture to spotlight of all places yielded a great find, duck feather-filled pillows!
I didn't go for the "down" filled expensive ones, rather one on special($7.89).
thought it might be full of useless primary feathers etc but it turned out to be full of small white and brown "belly" feather.
offered them to my birds and as you may have guessed the reaction was like seagulls on a chip!
if they are human/suitable they should be ok with my birds....
compared to the packaged feathers at sales I have at least 4-6 packs worth in 1 pillow.

not every shopping trip is a waste of time....

That's what I buy... works out heaps cheaper but I still buy emu feathers from AFF as mine mix those with grasses to build with and use the small feathers to line it...

AFF only sells Emu feathers as we all know that those cheap duck feather pillows are available from most large retailers. They are clean and sanitised other wise they wouldn't be allowed to sell them, but yes go the feather pillows not the feather down one's. Craig
