Just recently got 2 diamond firetails I purchased what i thought is a pair but now im not so sure. Bird #1 is slightly smaller than #2.
Bird #1 is 2019
Bird #2 is 2018
What do you guys think ?

To me they both look like hens but in saying that, a male will display bouncing on a thin branch with a long piece of grass crowing so if neither have done that they are hens. Their calls are different, males have a long drawn out call where as hens are shorter and lower pitch call. Craig

Thankyou Craig. Ive only had them for a few days so im waiting for them to settle in and see if one sings. Bird #2 is in good breeding condition. Bird #1 is moulting a bit. Im thinking maybe bird #1 might be a male because cheeks are a bit whiter but i could be wrong

Looks like 2 hens to me going by the red around the eye and also the light beak colour, cheers mick
