Nesting behaviour question

Hi,
I recently purchased 3 DBs at my local pet shop ( it was all she had). Anyway I have them in an inside cage with a weaved nest with an opening in the front and back. All 3 are carrying grass into the nest during the morning and sleeping in the nest at night. Is this normal behaviour? Are they building a proper nest or a somewhere to sleep?
I have no idea of the sex of the 3. I just think it strange the 3 are doing it all together.

Yes very normal, double bars build roosting nests to sleep or rest in.
Males will sing a little song that proves they are males females don't sing.

One of them has a soft song he sings sometimes. I am so happy I have a male.

Double Bars are cute little birds, that only do OK in groups of 3 or more.
So glad you managed to get 3.
I have had my numbers down to 2 at times and they get miserable, you see the difference as soon as the numbers increase.
Currently have a mini flock of 6. I hope the frequent invisibleness of one of the group is down to nesting.
As one is getting very bossy about seeding grass - if I give them weeds to go through and no seeding grass "he?" gives me a little lecture till I come good with his seeding grass.
