Dont think there will much in the way of finchy babies this year , still think they are too young at the moment BUT do have a nest box full of Turquoise Parrots just starting to poke their heads out.
Sooooooooooo cute cant wait to see them out of the nest.

An Aviary tour i went on Monday Hunter Had Turks and Scarlet Chesteds mixed in with Finches.
Both the Finches and the Neophemas appeared to be breeding well.
The Aviaries were about 6m Long x 2m Wide x 2m High.
Not sure that i would mix in Say a smaller Aviary than 4m Long x 2m x 2m though.

Oh good theres hope for my new pair of emblemas then. I thought they might be too young this year, but I did notice the male chasing away the gouldian young from a certain area this morning. Also my male goldbreast is hopping in and out of different nests and on the floor with a feather in his beak (fingers crossed)

Have been warned about Turks and any other type of bird apparantly the Turks can be nippy and aggressive , so they have there own space on there own.
I do hope to put my Bourkes and Scarlets in with my Bengals and Yellow stars at some stage , they are compatable so I hear but of course they all have there own personalities and I can only try.
Other half handles the parrots when needed and the only ones to draw blood have been the Turks , he reckons they have a sharper bite than the Quarrions ( thats why he handles the parrots
) least if the finches bite its not like having a pit bull on your finger.

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
