finally managed to pick up some new birds (that explains the happy part), managed to get pairs of the following: diamonds, pictorellas, chestnuts, BR owls and red faced parrotfinches. the sad part was that I couldnt get a pair of plumheads anywhere in adelaide. the breeders I went to only had spare cock birds also tried a couple of bird shops :o but they said that they hadnt had plumheads for ages. guess I'll just have to keep looking.
will try to remember and get some pics once they come out of the quarantine cage.

Well found. Minimum of 10 birds out of a wanted 12 cant be bad.
Can I ask where you got your Red headed parrot finches? Im after a pair when my new aviary arrives. I have seen some in a local shop but they were sold and waiting for pick up......maybe they are the ones you got!

I would be happy too, if I had just added that lot to my collection.
Hope they do well for you and good luck in tracking down the plumheads.

Good luck with your new birds Mick......I took you advice with the Coopex and ended up spraying where I needed to and I haven't seen an ant since. Thanks mate... :D
