Just got my Blueheaded parrot finch hen this morning.

Will be getting a pair of red headed parrotfinches and a mate for the above hen from Grumpz in a couple of weeks.

Couple of questions about the above bird. Once she is paired up Im thinking of putting them and the RH parrot finch pair in the main aviary which at present holds the gouldian males.....would this be a problem?
I have heard that the RH parrot finch dont like other RH birds and I have a few RH gouldian males in there at the moment.

:D Excellent. I really wanted them in the big aviary as being in the quarantine cage has them bouncing off the walls. So the RHPF and the BHPF will be in the big aviary with the male gouldians and when the RHPF have young I will pair one of them up with Fidget the seagreen PF and then she can join them in the big aviary. Unless I get a pied seagreen cock in the meantime.

Sadly I wouldn't put Red Faced and Blue Faced Parrot Finches together as there is a high risk that they will cross. If there is to be a cross it will come from the male Blue Face. The young are apparently infertile(heresay only) and the chicks show red and blue feathering on the head.
Many years ago some smarty tried to sell off his hybrids as Royal Parrot Finches
