why?
I don't think you can tell. With a lot of birds (and a lot of gouldians) you can't tell till you breed em.

If you are in a position to put it to a blue or split blue do so. If not breed it anyway and do so with a couple of different mates, then next year you can try putting half brother and sister together if they are strong healthy looking birds.
Those who don't approve of this practice need not do it, but I will do thing like this from time to time and with caution.
