I think you would find that most of us have had emblemas at some stage.
beautiful bird, great in a mixed aviary, very easy to look after, also very inquisitive

they are a nice quiet community bird, one pair built their own nest in brush, fairly low, full of rough bark and twigs uncomfortable looking thing, but they finally raised one baby after three unsuccessful attempts. My next pair (hen is the baby from the first pair) has made a nest in a larger wicker basket with swamp grass, highest point in the aviary and four babies just fledged a week or so ago, and they are first timers!
One extreme to the other

Have had them successfully in the past, then lost them. Recently got a new pair, and saw them mating the other day. :D

I love them they are such a peaceful bird. Bought a pair Oct 2009 and they have had 3 clutches producing 11healthy birds. Out of all my finches they are the most tolerate of me being in the aviary. :D

I bred them for first time ever this year just after jusdeb bred hers! beat me to it. They are a great bird like what mick said. Mine are definatly keepers cant see my self with out them no matter what finches i keep. Gaudy looking and sometimes bit scruffy but beautiful nature and when not scruffy look awesome.
