I am cursed with jealosy - I haven't had mone breed for more than 12 months and I'm thinking of replacing them. Mind you they are in mid-moult at teh moment so I may be not giving them a fair go at the moment. Good luck with yours they are the most beautifl finch but they often break your heart.

I'm green with envey too. Unless they are only on the nest when I'm not there and that isn't usuall for Gouldians.

That's awesome. I have had no luck thus far I have had my pair in a breeding cage indoors for 6 weeks and as far as I can tell they like each other but yet no eggs! Getting a little frustrated. Any suggestions would be great.

If the hens beak is black you know she is ready to mate.

2 weeks ago her beak was black now the black is fading. Does that mean she lost interest in him? Is he a dud? lol
