about a few months ago one of my finches neck had no feathers why? and what is the problems name?

Probably been picked on, but who knows, have a look around the skin of the bird, especially around the tops of the legs just below were the feathers end, if there is any red colouring it could be mites.

Its hard to say without pic.Could be as VR 1Ton said. Some birds molt that way.
