Nice birds but am curious as to why they hold their beaks open in almost all shots.?

I don't think they like the cage the photos are taken in , too much white disorients them and yes the heat from the very bright light would make them hold the beak open too.
They don't look comfortable sorry. :(

Some of my gouldians hold their mouths open like that if they feel threatened by another bird.

Probably a bit on the upset side at being put in the "viewing/photography" cage and having a camera poked at them.
