I know, not a book or a link, but if you are interested in ornithology, I strongly recommend buying a dvd called "Birding, the complete collection" (has the eye of a snowy owl on the front). Very informative, funny, great views of various birds. It includes the following episodes:

Birding in Britain
Birding in Canada
Birding in China
Birding in Israel
Birding in the Arctic
Birding in Mallorca
Birding in Spain
Birding in Texas
Birding in Eastern Europe
Birding in Alaska
Birding in Turkey
Birding in Florida

It is presented by an english bloke, Dave Gosney, and is directed at birders who know their species, but me being me, I don't know very much about overseas birds, but I can still pick it up.

fabulous photography. anyone else already got this?
