Welcome to the forum Ken. I have Gouldians and Zebs myself, together with a few others. Love the pied Zebs the first mutation I bred and still breeding them. Now I'm a bit more into the black fronted in dilute and fawn.

I spent 15 years breeding an keeping African cichlid tropical fish in Sydney before I moved to cairns. Boy, are they a lot of work! finches are a lot easier. I used to keep painted finch many years ago and had quite a lot of success with them. I am not sure how they will do in the tropics because they are very effected by mosquito bites. I love the pied zebs and i think I will stick with them. I am just constructing a big aviary down the side of the house to add to flight space. The gouldians have been quite a surprise, breeding so freely-I have been using an insectiverous powder they have taken to readily. Seems to help with the chicks. Do you have many birds?finchbreeder wrote:Welcome to the forum Ken. I have Gouldians and Zebs myself, together with a few others. Love the pied Zebs the first mutation I bred and still breeding them.
