Freezing mealworms

Just wondering if it is possible to freeze mealworms, so they dont turn into beetles and my supply can last longer. I dont want to breed them, so if they could be frozen that would solve a number of issues! Advice??

I dont know about freezing them but I have seen them at a local pet shop that sells reptiles, that come in a can and they have a special feeder that shakes them to make it look alive .....pete

putting them in the fridge while they are still in some bran is the best way to do it. (mostly) they all live and dont pupate so just take some out when you need them.

Thanks guys- I did a fair bit more reading up on storage. Looks like refrigeration is the way to go!

Just take them out for a day every couple of days so they can warm up and feed, seem to hold longer that way. They go black in the fridge when they are dead.
