Well after some modifications to the aviary we are on the way again. Bought a few more birds in Emerald the other day. Got ripped a bit, but we pay normal price plus Emerald GST, lol. Gotta love mining towns. Have rain here today so having the day off, just about to call the pet store in Emerald and see if he has anything different than last week. My white zebs have 4 eggs in the nest already, not sure if they are sitting though, everytime I go in to feed they are not in the nest, but they seem to fly out when I open the door. Time will tell.

We have been grading out sorghum and I bring home the gradings, full of sorghum ellam (johnson grass) and various other grass seeds, as well as grain that gets cracked going through the header, they seem to love the stuff.

Top stuff.....they'll probably start to sit tighter from about the 4th egg.....shifts of about an hour to hour & a half each......the fresh seed will keep 'em excited, as will the rain.

Good luck

Nothing new in town yesterday, but he tells me he has a heap of different ones coming in next week so we will see. I asked at the other pet place and they had nothing. I asked if they had anything coming in, they weren't really interested, but said they wuld have gouldians next week for $50 ! I said I don't think so, bye, lol. The cheapast budgies here are $30, think I will be waiting until I go to Toowoomba again soon, lol.

Depends on the budgie if $30 is cheap or expensive. If it's a show bird that is peanuts. If it's an avairy random breed it is expensive.

Lol, this is emerald we are talking about here, even all the zebs are cross bred, the budgies I saw there yesterday were very ordinary ! They even want more for a day old chicken than you can buy a cooked chook for at the corner store ! A town full of mine workers, everyone is out to make a fast buck, lol. We call it Emerald GST
