Really trying not to get my hopes up but have got at least 2 baby Gouldians today!!!! They've been sitting nearly 3 weeks and thought before I do any major changes to nest sites I'd better just check if the nest was empty as it had been before. Just felt as quickly as possible and felt at least 2, picked one up briefly.... fat, full crop about 3 days old if they follow the same pattern as native nestlings. so fingers well and truly crossed now. Have set up a mini fruit fly trap with good results but none of them have shown any interest in the fruit fly, will leave it in anyway. If all goes well these will be my very first.

Thanks Pete was going to gut load some small mealworms with insectivore powder tonight and put them in tomorrow just in case they're interested, Don't have access to termites.
