quails ??????

I put my last remaining quails in the little aviary and my female is showing aggression towards the male and then this mourning there fine whats wrong

i was puzzled the first time i saw it too. its just the hen defending her territory. the male got chased around for hours before they finally settled down!! they'll settle down soon enough :D

i have king quails. 1 breeding pair (normal hen silver male), 1 breeding trio (one normal boy with 2 normal girls), 3 spare silver hens, 3 spare normal hens, 4 spare normal males, 1 spare silver male, 5 juvenile normals, 3 two day old normal baby quails and 2 nests :)

wow thats a lot of quails i had 3 but the female had her head between the floor tray and the cage wall

yeah it is a few :lol: anyone want some?! got to get rid of em...

only reason i have so many is because i have 3 breeding aviaries plus a holding aviary shanny. sorry to hear about your hen.

yep, as spanna said they'll do it for ages! or sometimes just a little peck and it's over.
I have 6 quails, pair of silvers, pair of normals and a pair of cinnamons. they all chase each other but no one usually gets hurt.
