Evening All,
Around two weeks ago roughly we moved all of our gouldians & nest boxes from our old pre-fab aviary to the new much larger custom built aviary.
At the time we did have some eggs in some of the nesting boxes which we moved and left untouched. I took notes of which boxes had eggs in and how many, it has now been roughly two weeks since the move and we have only gained 1 more egg out of the 9 boxes with which had a total of about 24 eggs in. As it has been a while with not much activity do we remove all the eggs and clean out the boxes and then replace them back into the aviary except for the 1 which is being used or do we leave them in there a bit longer.......? We have 17 boxes in there, with 9 of them with eggs in so by removing all old eggs & boxes to clean out it will still leave more unused ones in there?
What to do?
Thanks Matt

I would recommend removing the boxes altogether until next season (January). Gouldians should now be moulting for the next month or so. It is too stressful on them to be breeding at this time of year.
