Mealie tips

Just bought some mealies, how many and how often should i be providing? any tips anyone has would be great thanx. Seams like the first first lot i provided them got touched!!

mix them in with a small amount of seed or egg an biscuit mix. also depends on what you are keeping , goulds dont really eat live food and others only while they have bubs in the nest. so what birds are you feeding them to......pete

zebs dont really need live food, stars will take a few if they have young , but they will just bite the heads of the mealies for fun other wise.not just one but the whole lot so dont give them to many say five or 6 as a treat....or your just wasting them...... pete

I feed a good pinch on an above the ground garbage lid every day in my mixed aviary
I store em in the fridge & keep my farms in the kitchen :parp:

Yeah store them in the fridge, this slows them down from developing into beetles.
Just make sure you mark them as DO NOT TOUCH so you don't get any midnight surprises. :lol:
