Have a bunch of these buggers harassing my aviary have tried putting out a garden owl gnome with no succes, small rubber snake still nothing. Has anyone had any experience with moving these guys on! I have removed all plants and branches near the wire but am worried when the eggs hatch they will get to the new birds.

I get them here , they will gather in numbers in the trees then hit the aviaries from all sides to send my birds into a panic ... I tried not to have dogs that chased away birds but for the safety of my caged birds I have taught Axle and Princess to skitch any bird that lands in the yard ....my loss as I no longer get the grassies after we mow oh well ....

Shaun,
Go to bunnings for about $5 - $6 get some bird mesh it comes in about 5 m length and 2m high. Get the black it does not stand out as much as the white. Peg the mesh to the top of your aviary then aabout a forty five degree angle pull the mesh tight and peg into the ground. The noisy minors soon realise they cant get to them.

The minors here are busy chasing the local wild birds out of the area , spose they will try the aviary when they finish harassing the natives ....
