Found in Target a mini food processor for $16.00 . So far it has crushed egg shells , mashed boiled eggs and finely chopped the parrot salad so the finches can eat it all and it works a charm .
Its their home brand gadget so dont know how long it will last but at that price Ill give it a go and compared to around $100.00 for an oscar ( which mine only lasted a year ) looks like a bargain.
Vaguely recall Big W had the same type of thing for under $20.00 also.

An under $30 appliance that lasts a year is better value than an over $60 appliance that lasts 18 months. Funny how we don't always weigh these things up isn't it? I see Deb that you like me have a good sence of fiscal balance. Think they'll let us have a job as treasury advisers? :lolno:

Toasters and jugs $10 if they crap out chuck them away and no tears . Used to buy only the good brand Goerge foreman grill 10 months , breville jug 13 months , top of the line iron caked up with gunk after 6 months so now I live in a disposable world :( .
However no worries about paying top dollar for birds  or toys for the ruggies  sad hey. :D
