Sexing sea green parrot finches

Hi all,can anyone tell me the best way to sex sea green parrot finches. I have a so called pair but they look the same & neither crow like a cock bird.

the males bib is far brighter and bigger than the hen, similar to the normals in all the other ways but there is definatlty a difference in colour of the orange in the bib, the hen is more washed out , but if you have two hens u will never know same as the normals they can have a few orange coloured feathers around the vent which means it definatly a boy... hope this helps....pete

Thanks Pete,
The tip about the vent feather colour is a big help.I have noticed one with alot more colour in that area.This bird seems bigger than the other one but face colour is similar.Thanks for your help.

With red faced parrot finches the cock will have one or two red feathers in the vent area, this will be orange in seagreens of course. The hen wil have none. Trouble is you have to catch them up to see this. Try it, it's the only reliable way I know of sexing red faced parrot finches.
