Just a post of a selfish nature. :?
was wondering how many or if any forum members are located anywhere near Tamworth.
i know of buzzard out Narrabri way,but no one else within 200km.
could maybe trade/buy some birds to mix bloodlines.
must be someone out there....... :?:
makes me :mrgreen: when i read how some members can access other breeders when needed.
i know there are local breeders around but the lines of communication seem to be down.
not looking for specifics, just an idea of who/whats out this way.
it would benefit our birds to easily obtain a spare when required and not lose a whole breeding season.

i,m from the upper hunter and visit tamworth a few times each year .i,d imagine that you know that you have one of the best breeding set ups on your doorstep (without going into too much detail here)
i keep cordons , cubans, black throats, yellow siskins , red siskins , tri colours, auroras , melbas, green singers, red strawbs

i do know of the setup you speak of and yes it is a good one.

i keep diamonds,masked,yellowrumps.painted.redbrows,red/blue parrotfinches,stars.

from your impressive list of birds i am keen on tri-colours and possibly others as well.

maybe one day we can do a swap or buy?

no worries . i should be up your way soon and will definitely be at gunnedah for the sale. not many breeders local to me anymore always good to know who and whats about

Dubbo here not so far away , know what you mean about no bird people about ....very frustrating

Not too many finches in my aviaries but do know a good breeder of cordons , Obreasts , gouldians , emblemas and those aussie white goulds if your ever stuck.

thanks for your interest.
not so far apart after all, could possibly even meet in the middle.
I will always consider another breed to add to my aviaries so thanks for the input,used to have plumheads and hope to again so dont think just because you dont have violet ears etc that others are not interested.
Just look at petlink..... finch breeders are scarce compared to parrot breeders so there is always a demand if you have good birds and dont ask a motza for them....
Gunnedah bird sale is always a magnet for me so hope to see you guys there.
How do forum members identify themselves in public :problem: without making a goose look cool :notsure:

by the way James, you also have some "legend" breeders nearby to you,check out the aviary visits on Marcus Pollard's website for more detail.

Will be happy to help/swap/buy/sell to other forum members.....i just dont like the idea of airfreighting the little guys if i can help it.
