Hi Diane and Deb, Thought I would give you an update on my little finch. After 10 weeks of hand-feeding he has finally got the hang of eating himself, I have not fed him for the past 4 days and watching him to-day he has not stop eating seed, corn, cucumber, grass seeds. Finally his feathers have started to grow and he is looking pretty good. I put him in the small aviary with the other zebras I don't think he knows how to get on with them as he is pecking the babies but to-night is in the nest with the other two finches I had him in the cage with. Will post a picture of him taken to-day. :D

I don't want him to be a finch by himself but will see how he goes to-night is the first night in the aviary. I checked quite late and he was in the nest with the other two finches I had him in the cage with, but if they want to breed I don't know if they will let him come in. I had him a cage with a baby finch that had fledged and started eating itself but they did not go near one another. I don't think he knows how to be a finch and interact with the other birds he seems to sit by him self. Will keep an eye on him he does come and fly to my hand when I put it in the aviary. :)

Congratulations on getting him through the trials and tribulations of baby finchdom.
