Hi folks,
Is it normal for a Gouldian hen to want to have a go at any other Gould that comes near her? Is she just testing everyone out and will she settle down?

since introducing the nest boxes the other day, there is more chasing and beak fencing so to speak, in my aviaries.
sounds pretty normal to me, shes just protecting her space.

Having just rearranged mine they are all in "moodys" particularly those who have new prospestive partners.

Oh I hope so, I have a pair of RH set up and the hen would have nothing to do with the cock, probably cos she could hear her previous mate......well that problem has been sorted now, he has been sold, hopefully she will settle down with this RH guy, time will tell.
