Well I suppose breeding season has just about come to an end and all I have to say about that is EPIC FAIL .
Yep what a dud year for both team emblema and the assorted parrots.
Hand rearing formula has been put into the freezer ( 4 kilos ) and any hopes of babies this late are gone with the wind .

Enjoy the holiday you fat feathered freeloaders  good old Deb will still be there to cut ya bloody salad and clean ya stinking poops .

All I can say now is lucky their cute.
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Don't get too down - it's only Feb 5 and most of the year lies ahead.

Jusdeb
I know that areas have different conditions for breeding but here in NSW the weather after Xmas is normally very reliable without extreems(not 2011).
I can say that we have more birds fledging after Xmas than prior, maybe not as enthuisiastic with regard numbers nesting but better results on the perch.
So don't give up your Finches as yet you could have a lat run.

My team have dropped the ball somewhat as well Jusdeb.
with our wet spring/summer lead up i too thought breeding would be good, what with all the seeding grasses etc for them.
just when we think we have the key they go and change the locks.....
hang in there....if it was easy anyone could do it.

Greetings. I don't know about breeding conditions around Dubbo. the closest I ever got to that town was Tamworth en route to the West. Here in the upper part of the North Island of NZ several of the species go down later in the year and we have good results here in April/May June. Our conditions are not overly hot but humidity is a problem this time of the year - would you believe 100 procent - no frosts in winter. So don't give up hope yet you still have a few months ahead of you. cheers, case
