Had 2 painteds fledge today and same pattern is happening as last time. One was still in the nest and dad is too busy making new nest to feed them. This will be the 4th nest. Last lot only fledged just over 6 weeks ago. Learnt from last time when I lost 2 because they weren't being fed and surviving one was put in a cage with Dad to feed and so have put these 2 in a cage with Dad tonight. What do I do now to stop them breeding as I think 3 clutches is enough even though they're not having big clutches or do I just leave them to it once Dad has finished these 2 off and put them all back in aviary???
Wish my OBs and Stars would show just a little of the enthusiasm of this pair.

You could consider removing the family to a cabinet with no nesting faciliies but plent of food to finish the weaning process. I've used this for stars and cut-throats whio like your painteds had to be stopped from breededing again and it worked both times.

If weather conditions are good and not taxing on the birds I would let them breed, if they are getting plenty of food variety and healthy all should be good. Emblemas are good breeders, they will know when thay have had enough. I would remove the young that fledged six weeks ago.
