Yes I read that Eorix had a AFF shirt on but I still couldnt find him anyhoo my question to the forum owners is ...would it be viable to have a AFF badge or sew on available for sale ?
It would have been nice to meet Bleeding Green and Eorix today and as hard as I looked for a name tag with something identifiable on it , it just wasn't there .

Just a thought ...

T is good except for when its cold and a jumper goes over it ....badge is easily identified and can be attached to any clothing ....once again just my thinkings.

I know what you mean Deb. From his location (where he lives) and his main focus (weavers), I was quite sure I had met Orix once before, so I had an idea about what he looked like. When I walked past someone selling weavers in the main hall, and being a tall well built bloke I knew I had bumped into him. The shirt just confirmed it after I strated to introduce myself.
It looked neat and professional, but hard to see the 'aussie finch forum' tag if you are looking specifically for a forum member. Although, once they become a bit more well known people would start to recognise it, like the shoalhaven avicultural society and Orange society ones. They stand out to me straight away even with their minimal signage/labeling.

I do agree we need something to identify each other at sales... I know there'll be a couple of members at Canberra in a week's time and I don't want to miss them... I missed Blink471 at the September sale, and I'm still quite sore about that :(

Do we just want to go with wording or do we want a finch logo?
I know that several other clubs have finch logos, but an image often stands out better than words or letters.
What does everyone think?

It will come down to $$$. A basic bird pic is not that dear but looks cheep and nasty, whereas the professional one's may be out of reach of a lot of members. There is a happy medium just finding it is taking a bit of time. PLEASE keep commenting as what is being said will be taken into consideration.

Why not start a "Design an AFF logo" thread. Then organsiers can pick finalists and we can all vote! Maybe the winner gets a free T-shirt. Might need some constraints to begin with - number of colours, proposed final dimensions, etc.
