Hi All.

Just asking if anyone has seen a " Blackheaded Yellow back gouldian " ??
I see plenty of RH/YB & YH/ YB . But i havn't seen the ones mentioned !!
Maybe they don,t exist ??

Genetically they do exist but they appear visually as white head.
If you have a
BH PC SFYB = visual BH PC light green
BH PC DFYB = visual WH PC YB (no blue ring)
BH WC SFYB = visual WH WC YB (blue ring)
BH WC DFYB = visual WH WC YB (no blue ring)

Hi Freddy, here are photos of both a cock and hen. The cock is breeding with a normal BH hen at the moment, and when i checked in their aviary this evening it seems that he has decided to give her a break and do the night shift. I find this one of the more intriguing things about gouldians, that there are always exceptions to the normal behaviour.

Wish I had a pic on hand of one of my BH aus yellow cocks I bred, he's an absolute cracker. Think I'll take one tomorrow. The aus yellows are so much cleaner yellow than the sex-linked yellows.
