I have 2 finchs and cannot work out what they are, they are very small bit smaller than double bars, male is olive green with a realy bright orange belly and red beak and a bright red streak over eyes.female is pale olive green redish beak and pale orange belly...(I thought I had found them with the red barred finch, thats what males eye mark is like but they have no grey like red bars??.)
very sociable birds and im told australian native they were $70 a pair if that helps ,?The guy told me but had an awfuly strong accent and birds were carrying on so I couldnt hear him, they are not any of the finchs on homepage top!!!
(it is possible they need a licence as this place sold me birds that I later found need a licence in NSW so perhaps they dont worry about licences)

They sound like Orange Breasts to me...........not Aussie Natives, from South Africa

PS: What birds did you get from him that you later found out required a licence?
