I dont understand the penalty.
and placed on a Section 9 good behaviour bond for two years. Under the conditions of the bond, the RSPCA may inspect animals at his premises on reasonable notice
Reasonable notice :!: :?: What and give him chance to clean up or get rid of those sick animals/birds/fish.....rubbish! Whatever happened to spot inspections?
The man was ordered to dispose of all animals for which he is personally-in-charge within seven days. He has also been prohibited from possessing any animal for two years.
If he still has the shop isnt he classed as being "in charge"? If he has to get rid of all the animals with seven days, why "may inspect at his premises on reasonable notice?"

Glad you noticed all the contradictions too Di .... I doubted I was reading it right but obviously I was ...

I once "dobbed" on a pet shop because the puppies were in their own filth day after day . The inspector shut the doors and that same afternoon the RSPCA van took away all the animals/birds/fish .

It never went public so I didnt know if the owner was charged or not .

Many years later I made friends with a workmate who told me her tragic tale of losing everything because some do gooder put her in to the RSPCA ...yes she even told me where her shop was and what it was called .... It was her , older and greyer and fatter .

Poetic justice ..... obviously back in the 80s the RSPCA had greater powers and took matters into their own hands , telling the owner to get rid of his animals leaves too many options for the owner .
