Just put this pair of BFPF together in the aviaryyesterday. It seems the cock bird has decided that the branches in the centre front is where he will be building the nest, and right now is the time to build.
These pics were taken through the kitchen window.

Well I wasnt expecting anything so soon, but I can just see into the nest from outside the aviary and it looks like there maybe 2 eggs in there, this pair were only pout together on the 8th April so I dont know if the eggs would be fertile? I know he chased and caught her often enough!

Well sounds like I have some young BFPF, the pair in the big aviary that were sitting on eggs must be feeding at least 3 youngsters judging from the noise.
Managed to get a pic of the nest entrance from outside the aviary and I can see at least 3, could be more they were bobbing and weaving about so much.
The best part about this is the cock is split lutino so these will be splits.

Split cock x Normal Hen ----> 25% Norm cocks + 25% Split cocks + 25% Norm hens + 25% Lutino hens
So probably the good news is that there may be LUTINO HENS in there
As newly hatched babies Luts. appear to almost have "no" eyes . . because of the pink colour
Any way BOL with the percentages . . its a bit like betting on the G's

I wondered about that after I posted, but I couldnt find my piece of paper to check. Well its even better than I thought, but I can more or less guarantee that because I want a lutino I wont get one, and Im not going to check the young now, too scared of frightening the parents off.
