this is the front and side shots they were very hard to get because he wouldnt stop moving so i pulled him out of the cage and put him into a smaller one.
very interesting... I think the bigger zebbo buffs (AMCA26, NSWchainsaw etc.) will have to cast a deciding vote on this one... I've certainly seen nothing like it ever.
Yeah, it could just be a pied in which the pied makings have only affected the wings.
I think the real test would be whether it is reproducable. It will be a bit tricky to find out for sure as the offspring of pied birds often display a similar distribution of pied markings to their parents, so a fair amount of test mating and back-crossing will be requried in order to come to a definitive answer.
I'd go for either normal or fawn and try to ensure as much as possible that whichever you pair him to is neither pied, nor split for pied (tall order, I know).
Assuming you don't get any young with this colour in the first generation, then back-cross him to one of his daughters and also brothers to sisters. In theory, you should get some results out of that. Once you have more than one, you can then go on and out-cross to unrelated bloodlines.
thanks i will try this im pretty sure he's already paired up with a fawn so thats good i guess i will take them out of the main aviary and put them into a breeding cage and see how it goes, hopefully all goes well i will try and keep updated on how it goes
