I would imagine those with blues and yellow/blues would seen some silver young, whether they make it to the perch is another matter.
Im keeping my fingers crossed for mine.

well ive been breeding yellows at the moment and ive been trying to get a blue male to breed with a yellow female so i can see if i get a silver, but its proving to be hard to get a blue which sucks
To get silvers you would need either
DFYB/blue cock x YB/blue hen
or
SFYB cock/blue x YB/blue hen
or
BB cock x YB/blue hen
There are some other pairings but some of those you would already need to have a silver bird. You can do reverse gouldian colours here, http://www.gouldiansgalore.net/reverse.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

well there is this website I go onto called gouldian finch genetics forecaster Which you choose the parents colours and once you do that you press count and it gives the outcomes of what babies you will get from them
Yes there are several where you can enter in the colours of the gouldians you have and see what colour the young could be, I use the Carlos Matos mainly as you dont have to on the net to use it.
The reverse genetics is useful when you want to breed a specific coloured bird, that site tells you which colour birds you need to pair together.

i was just reading through the site and i did find it a bit confusing at first but im starting to understand what i should be doing to get the right results
I reckon i have a WB Silver hatch over the last 2 days from parents being YB Split Blue Cock and Blue Hen both WB. You can see the difference in body colours as explained on Gouldians Galores site.
