Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of the findings of the NFSA (NATIONAL FINCH and SOFTBILL ASSOCIATION) census? I have heard the feedback to the census was very disappointing and I would like to check it out for myself. I am also interested to find out which Lonchura (Munia, Mannikins and Nuns) are still available in Australia and in what numbers, as it seems nearly impossible to buy.

I am interested in purchasing any of the more unusual Lonchura species and/or their subspecies. Particularly the Asian Munias or New Guinea Mannikins. If you have some and wish to sell them, PM me with the type, quantity and price
I will buy related or unrelated birds. I am also happy to organise and pay freight from anywhere in Australia.

oh hang on, you might be able to find if they are still here but as I'm sure you know it was an anonymous census...

I am aware that the census was anonymous but... I am actually just trying to identify which species still exist in Australia and how many of them are around. When I know the remaining species, then I will start trying to find who is keeping and selling them.

I doubt if you will succeed in finding out who has what etc as Gary Fitt and the Queensland Finch Society couldn't afford to devulge that sort of information
If they did the system would collapse as the bigger collection owners would withdraw their support.
If you are after just the list I have one just PM your name and address and I will send you a copy.
