Had a check on my BH pair last weekend and found 3 eggs in their nest. Checked again today and found 1 egg and 2 little pink aliens with mouths wide open looking back up at me!!! Dad BH was indignant over my intrusion and stayed beside me while I checked out the nest and as soon as I closed the box was straight into the babies.

He babysits all day and his mate stays in all night.

Will have some pics up of these in the next few days.

My other babies, 4 x RH babies (had a 5th but sadly he did not make it past day 3 out of the nest) are doing very well. The Male RH did a great job on his own after his mate disappeared from the aviary the day the babies flew out of the nest)

Also spent today putting up clear plastic curtains (home made from plastic sheet - $21 a mtr from Bunnings, 2 lengths of 12mm aluminium angle at the bottom of curtain with the plastic sandwiched in middle and tech screwed to top of aviary) to keep put the breezes.

Congratulations on the young, nothing nicer than seeing them on the perch being fed by Mum and Dad
