Just talking with some finchers, they mentioned about 2 mutation types which I didn't believe were a silver and a rose chested. Is there any truth has anybody seen or heard of these themselves.

If you are talking about a silver gouldian, then yes it is true. The silver gouldian is genetically a yellow/blue.
I have heard of rose breasted gouldians too. Have yet to see either of these in the flesh, but other members have mentioned having silvers so maybe they could show pics.
